Gratitude

gratitude1As I write, I'm listening to Karen Drucker's music all about gratitude.  How grateful I am to be able to step out into the world today to teach yoga to people who are recovering from addictions, anxiety, depression and more.  Some may be afraid to come to class.  Some may come to try it and leave.  Some may stay.

Teaching yoga to recovering alcoholics has a huge positive impact on their recovery.   Yoga also has amazing benefits for those suffering from anxiety.  Dr. Timothy McCall. M.D. writes about this in his book, Yoga as Medicine on page 5.  I am grateful to have met him and to learn from him.

I will also be teaching at my home yoga studio, De-Stress with Yoga, tonight - Gentle Yoga.  My students/friends arrive often feeling stressed.  Hopefully when they leave my class, they will feel relaxed and feel the sensation of "All is well".

Let me be an open channel of love for them.  Let me give - may they receive - the gift of yoga; in return - I will receive gratitude for all of the blessings received from them, and everything this day brings. ~ Mimi
